Inheritance Cycle Book 4 announced

I have a bit of a history with the Inheritance Cycle. I read them first in year 6- when I was 11 years old. I loved them then, and they were my fantasy Bible. The Inheritance Cycle is what brought me to the internet; I discovered a forum where thousands of people were discussing the books, and I became a member leading up to the publication of Brisingr, the third book in the cycle. The Inheritance Forums, as they are known, became a large part of my life for two years. At first I spent time discussing the novels- but as I grew older, I discovered that the Inheritance Cycle wasn’t the end all of the fantasy genre, and I became less and less interested in them. I stayed on the forums- content to talk about non-Inheritance stuffs with the many amazing people I had met there (although called the Inheritance Forums, back then, they also had a very large non-Inheritance discussion and community, and it is this I became a part of). Essentially, the Inheritance Cycle was the beginning of my online presences.

I haven’t read the Cycle in a while, so I can’t really comment on my enjoyment of them. But for old times’ sake, I wanted to share the news, whether you are a fan or not (because, frankly, the Cycle has some of the most amazing cover art, ever!)

The news is as follows:

The fourth and final book in the Inheritance Cycle will be called INHERITANCE
It will be published simultaneously in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand on Tuseday the 8th November 2011
The three previous novels in the series (Eragon, Eldest and Brisingr) will be re-published with new covers by the same artist, John Jude Palencar, on July 7th

The Cover, also has been released and can be seen at the top of this page. I knew the cover would be green and would feature a dragon; but I was mildy disappointd by it. It seems a bit to similar to the cover of Eragon for my liking, and it just feels slightly less majestic than the Brisingr cover, which was glorious. I await to see what it looks like in real life.
